And now for the runner up…

A new lantana series we’re trialing got the second highest number of flags on Field Day. It’s called Bloomify and it comes in a red and a rose variety—there might also be a yellow. Red is actually multi-colored with some orange and gold mixed in, and Rose has rose-pink flowers.

‘Bloomify Red’—no seedpods to slow down the blooms

Bloomify can take hot sun all day without a whole lot of water and it has one more unique attribute to bring to the table: these plants are sterile so they flower continuously throughout the season. 

With no seedpods, this series offers a season-long payoff for much less work so we’ll keep an eye on it in our Display Garden and let you know how it goes. One thing is certain already—Bloomify has a beautifully rounded habit.
