Classic Ivy
Classic Ivy lays down a lush carpet of color
We have an evergreen of a different kind to talk about for spring—Ivy. For the classic Ivy look there are two varieties we recommend: Hedera ‘Baltic’ and/or Hedera ‘Thorndale’. Both lay down a lush carpet of color and climb quickly as well, to cover rocks, walls, fences, and other objects that could use a refreshing coat of glossy green.
Use tough Ivy to anchor very rough soil
Like other Ivies, these two varieties are tough—they thrive in poor soil and tolerate drought. We use them to tie down the earth in very rough areas where nothing else will grow.
Hedera ‘Baltic’ is available in the 1801 flat. Hedera ‘Thorndale’ comes in the 4.5-inch pot.
