Two New FlameThrower™ Coleus Varieties
‘FlameThrower™ Serrano’ with distinctive outlined leaves
We grow several varieties of FlameThrower™ Coleus because we especially like the bold, loud foliage colors. They work well in containers—the leaves have distinctive shapes that add compelling texture to a design. Another plus with this series is that the plants perform equally well in sun or shade. This year we’ve added two new varieties to the line.
- ‘Salsa Roja’ is available in the 4.5-inch pot. It sports a deep burgundy-red that is similar in habit to ‘Habanero’. This dramatic rich tone is a great choice for mixed containers.
- ‘Serrano’ comes in the 1801L flat and the 6-inch pot. It's intriguing bicolor has sharply defined leaves with bright yellow accents—they’re basically outlined in yellow. This is the tightest and most compact of the series.
