Gomphrena ‘Pink Zazzle™’

GOM Pink Zazzle1

If the name ‘Pink Zazzle™’ didn’t catch your attention, take a look at these hot pink jumbo-sized flowers—they’ll knock your socks off. Gomphrena breeders have been busy lately so the field is starting to get crowded—an unusual situation for globe amaranth. As a result, this new hybrid is day-length neutral; it blooms consistently from spring to fall, making for a vivid display throughout the summer.

Stems and leaves are covered with light fuzz, creating a nice soft background for all the bold flowers. Plants are well branched, reaching about a foot tall with a mounding, trailing habit. This variety is heat-tolerant and drought-resistant; it performs well in full sun to part shade, though it does best in warm weather with high light.

Needless to say, ‘Pink Zazzle™’ is a thriller in containers and looks stunning en masse in the landscape. It’s popular for cutting because the flowers dry well and last for so long.

This selection is available in the 8-inch pot.
